Since the sixth grade science curriculum focuses on anatomy and physiology, I found these little plushies to be wonderful teaching tools for students who learn best using visuals and manipulatives. Each one comes with a written explanation of what it is, as well as an actual picture of what the real organism looks like! (Note: You might be able to find these cheaper on amazon.com and I do not own this picture.)

I Was Just Kidding!: Lesson Plan and Tools to Help the Fight Against Bullying

Hello once again! I came across this basic lesson plan and accompanying worksheet, whilst attempting to come up with new ideas on how to teach my students the difference between joking around and actual bullying in the classroom; while I did not follow the exact format of this particular plan, it did serve as a springboard for new activities and ideas. I hope this helps!

Just a Brief (Hopefully) Introduction...

Hello, I am an aspiring teacher, currently preparing to begin my journey as a student teacher in order to fulfill my Master's program. I created this blog, just to show some lesson plan ideas and classroom tools that I've found or heard about in my travels. If you are a practicing educator, a preservice teacher, a parent, or are browsing and have any ideas pertaining to these things, please feel free to share! As a matter of fact, your ideas and advice would be absolutely appreciated, because--as much as I love to conduct research--I don't want to end up with my house looking like this:

or me, looking like this:

Thank you! :)
